Description
This specimen shows the posterior surface of the thyroid; the right lobe is normal while the left
lobe is expanded by two nodules measuring up to 2.5 cm. The smaller nodule shows areas of
scarring and calcification while the larger nodule, at the lower pole, shows some cyst formation.
